What major events in your lives have transpired since the forums went quiet?


Ill start:
Moved to Connecticut via car from California.
Left Staples job for Support.com job as a tech expert
Enlisted into the Airforce and swore in (will be deployed eventually some time in the next 6 months)
Still with that same girlfriend (hiddenangel1219 for those who remember) we live together now.
Still in contact and talk regularly to nightshade123 (for those who remember him)
Still not a friend with Narks even though we keep bumping into eachother at the most random places online.

I aged a few years
I have a nagging addiction to League of Legends
I now work for the Leavitt Group as a web developer
Sophomore in college
So scare

I didn't really post or talk to anyone here, but...

I'm a Freshman in college.
I get together with some old friends of mine to play D&D 3.5 and/or GURPS on the weekends.
Jobless, hoping to work for the NSA after I get a Master's or PHD in Mathematics.
I, too, suffer that ill addiction to LoL in my free time when I'm not...
Replaying through the Mass Effect series. I had recently re-bought 1 and 2 on steam because they were 75% off. Both games with most (if not all, haven't checked) DLCs for just $10. I love steam.

I had ME 3 on PC already, and had ME 1 and 2 for the Xbox.


Besides that, Terraria updated. Slowly working on playing through that again, too.

Once you finish college, if you still don't have a job, join the airforce as an officer doing something computer-related. The majority of the NSA is made up of vets who were in the airforce.

Thanks for the advice - I haven't heard that before! I'll look into it.

Eh, sorry. Didn't read fully... They aren't on a good boat with me, and I sure as hell don't want to depend on them.

But lets not derail this thread too much more.

I'm in a gray zone where I finished my school work but don't have my degree cause I need work credits to finish it.

I am in the USAF, I got sent off to Ramstein Airbase, its kickass here. Booze, women, money, I got it all here.

Still in contact with nightshade (talking to him as i type this).
Broke up with hiddenangel1219 last year.
Hooked up with candycornxdemon (for those who remember her)
Got engaged to her.
AF is amazing. Shit is so cash.

I still check up on this place every so often.

• Logo disappeared from the image host a while back. Had a copy of it stashed away for some reason.
  
• Still live at home.
  
• Still no job. (Meh.)
  
• Got into Ingress back in February. Joined the Resistance faction and was pretty much a lone wolf in my area. Requested a faction change in September. Got approved 13 days ago. I lost my Level 8 (had enough AP to get Level 9), but not my badges or stats. Got to Level 6 so far since then partly in thanks to that double AP.
  
• Met up with an old IRL friend thanks to Ingress.
  
• Got into DnD. Had a DM for a week, but lost him due to his work schedule. IRL friend is our DM now. We play Saturdays if we can.
  
• Still running my IRC network @ irc.crushandrun.net.
  
• Got a whitelist-only Minecraft server up on that server too. Multiworld (20+ worlds), Creative, Vanilla 1.7.10.
  
• Also have a 1.8 server up on another port. No IRC though.
  
• Odamex server is running for DooM.
  
• Quit buying beer and trying to save some money. So far, so good.
  
• Been doing some yard work and odd jobs to get funds.
  
• Game list still is growing, hope to get Fantasy Life soon. I'll let you all know how it is when I do.
  
• Oh, and I've lost some weight. Not as much as I want to lose, but I was at 330lbs at the beginning of the summer (not good). Down to 275lbs.

Ingress got me going places I never thought to go otherwise, and at times I never thought to go otherwise. It's gotten cold though, so I haven't been out as much as I'd like to. Couple days I even went out and walked 10+ miles. Feet hurt though.

Pathfinder is basically a 3rd party rewrite of 3.5. Some subtle changes, but it's almost the same system. Not too difficult to jump to. Most notably, everyone is a bit stronger in Pathfinder than in 3.5.

Currently in a 3.5 game myself. Illusionist/Master Specialist/Mage of the Arcane Order, with a fighter comrade. There's also a half-dragon monk, but the situation is complicated, since our first quest was to capture her and bring her back safely... Wasn't hard, for my character, but it's lead to headscratching for where to take the campaign now, since one of the PCs is kinda in a cell and being trained like an animal. Which she kinda is. Half-magical beast, really, but ideally tamable, I guess.

been workin full time as embedded systems developer for almost a year now.
Meanwhile, doing major degree in electrical engineering.
Started playing some board games recently.
Still playing warcraft, spontangeously (not FL though).

I was reminded of this mod because of that new Fantasy Life game that everyone keeps talking about and I am having an absolute blast reading through my profile and the posts I made. That is some A-Level edgy comedy.

As for what has happened to me ever since I left the life of being an edgemaster teenager?
Well I graduated school with a degree in electronics and programming.
I decided I didn't care for this and am now in the process of deciding whether or not I want to pursue my passion for cooking, that I also found in the process of not being here!
I started playing in a semi-professional League of Legends team together with some friends and the SC2 Manager for Dignitas.
I realised I had a serious addiction to LoL and had to quit playing the game because it was starting to affect my life outside of gaming, and ever since I enjoy gaming much much more.

And I think that's everything of note that has happened to me ever since!

Holy shit, the last time I remember ever talking to you was on MSN Messenger. And that was eons ago. I'm about to go down to the post office to pick up that game too. It arrived there via Fedex StupidPost and the ETA to my house is tomorrow.

I picked up a pamphlet for that game last night at Walmart. Dragon suit code inside (will share when I make my thread about the game.).

I also see we talk about DnD and Pathfinder here. I did get into that too, though I've only played a singular campaign thus far it is really quite the fun time. When you have a GM that doesn't suck.
